HYTEmods: Liquidhaus Thinks Outside the Box
Liquidhaus case mods are always something to look out for, but this one is on another level. We sent John a REVOLT 3 ITX case and hardware, with the task of modding the system to their heart's content. The results were nothing short of epic - check out the build, system specs and some of Liquidhaus' thoughts about it!
The Reveal
It can't be a Liquidhaus build without an epic loop, after all. The external radiator was the first thing to catch our eye.
The EXT Universal Radiator Stand is John's own creation, and it makes for a sleek addition. For this project, he further customized the stand with specially ordered acrylic parts. According to him:
"I created the EXT Universal Radiator Stand as a solution to those who would run into this very issue or those who would want to still enjoy a smaller ergonomic based computer, but without the hassle of worrying about clearances or fitment when it came down to the watercooling side of things. I was supremely grateful that Hyte let me have the opportunity to utilize my own product with this project. They did say “think outside the box”!"
We did. ;)
The loop was completed with a combination of sleek black tubing and beautifully mattified clear tubing, filled with a custom icy blue coolant. To us, it looks like something straight out of the Tron universe, in the best possible way. Mixing materials is a signature move of Liquidhaus' and one that he's refined over several builds:
"In the past, I have built systems with up to 4 different types of tubing in one loop, and I enjoy the expression in that much more so than going the rudimentary route with one type. I wanted to go over the top with this build, and so various types and styles of tubing was a necessity."
Custom Cables
The PSU cable mods are just as impressive, with specially sized sleeving and measuring, to help make every connection as clean and beautiful as possible. The color gradient from black to gray really helps pop the cables from the rest of the build, without drawing focus from that beautiful blue in the custom loop.
